Test Prep

About Test Preparation

One of the most critical conditions for college admission is the test results.  The higher your score, the easier it will be for you to stand out from other applicants.

You can even prepare for your tests remotely with the help of tutors from Markus Education Int. We will create all the conditions to prepare for the necessary tests effectively. All of our tutors are native speakers with extensive experience in US education and test prep.

What tests and exams may be required to enter American schools and universities?

  • SSAT - Secondary School Admission Test - an entrance exam to the best private schools in the US. The test level is selected depending on the grade the student is applying to Elementary (grades 3-4), Middle (grades 5-7), Upper (grades 8-11).

  • TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language is an international test of knowledge of English as a foreign language. It is required for all international students over the age of 14 who want to enter high school, college, or university in the US. The exam consists of four parts: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Other exams, such as Duolingo or IELTS might be acceptable.

  • SAT / ACT - Scholastic Assessment Test / American College Testing – these two exams are standardized tools to test the knowledge of students applying to American colleges and universities. Both tests evaluate the general level of knowledge, analytical skills and include sections such as reading, grammar, mathematics and science (the latter for the ACT test only).  Students can choose which of the two tests they would like to take.

Previously, SAT / ACT were compulsory for admission, but presently most US universities do not require these test results.
